BOOK HARAM INSURGENCY A SET BACK TO NIGERIA

The group name “Boko Haram” is a Hausa statements which upon translated into English mean western education is “sinful” this group is opposed to more especially western education, ideologies and system such as democracy and others. The Boko Haram seat has been in existence since 2001, did not become popular in Nigeria until 2009 when it participated actively in the sectarian violence, which occurred then in Northern Nigeria.
